Excellence Through People [ETP] was founded by Shazia Khokhar, an experienced HR professional who has worked for over 20 years within the corporate environment and within start-up scale-up entrepreneurial environments. Shazia is dedicated to providing cost-effective tailored solutions that meet the needs of our clients.

Meet the Founder
After a fulfilling career dedicated to the field of Human Resources, I have embarked on an exciting new chapter as an independent HR Consultant. My mission is to serve a diverse community of clients who recognize the pivotal role that people play in the success of their organizations. With a wealth of experience spanning various industries and sectors, I bring a deep appreciation for the challenges that businesses face in today’s rapidly evolving landscape. I am driven by the belief that by supporting organizations in achieving their goals, I can contribute to the creation of positive and impactful work environments. If my expertise and commitment can provide value in helping clients navigate the complexities of HR and achieve their desired outcomes, then I consider it a win-win for all parties involved.
I hold a BA with Honours in Human Resource Management and a Level 7 CIPD Diploma in Personnel Management. Over my 20-year career, I have honed my skills in all aspects of HR, working in various team settings and stand-alone roles. I have worked in diverse industries, including Media & Broadcasting, Hospitality, Luxury Fashion, Pharmaceutical, and Renewable Energy both in stand-alone roles and working alongside a team of People specialists.
In the past 12 years, I have helped build 2 fast-growing start-ups and scale-up businesses successfully within the renewable energy space, developing and building £multi-million clean energy projects including solar power plants and electric vehicle charging infrastructure. As a People Lead and a trusted advisor to the CEO and the Senior Leadership team, I formulated and synchronized People team strategies with business objectives. Leading a team of People specialists, overseeing initiatives dedicated to attracting, retaining, developing, rewarding, and engaging employees including employee well-being and equality, diversity & inclusion programs. I have executed several employee engagement programs, leading to a positive impact on retention, attracting talent, employee experience, and productivity; all leading to company success.
